John Chrastka is co-founder and executive director of EveryLibrary, the first national political action committee for libraries. EveryLibrary provides pro-bono campaign consulting and digital strategy to library communities with ballot measures for funding, operations and buildings. Through its NationBuilder digital platforms, EveryLibrary provides advocacy support to state library associations for legislative issues and direct actions in support of school library program budgets.
PC Sweeney has worked with a broad range of organizations and campaigns to help them achieve their political goals. He is co-author of “Winning Elections and Influencing Politicians for Library Funding” as well as “Before the Ballot; Building Support for Library Funding.” He was recently recognized for his work with a “40 Under 40” award by the American Association of Political Consultants. He is a lecturer at the San Jose University Information School where he teaches courses on politics. He is active across social media as PC Sweeney.
